Student Bird Art Contest: 818 pieces of art – the third highest ever – were received.
Nature Writing Contest: 84 essays and poems were received.
Sequoia Park Zoo will be bringing Chillido, a Western Screech Owl, to the main hall of the Arcata Community Center on Saturday, April 19 from 12:30 pm to 3 pm. Bring your questions to ask the zoo staff!
3rd Annual Family Nature Crafts “Mega-Palooza”: Free craft activities will be offered by nonprofit and government environmental agencies to children of all ages who are accompanied by a responsible adult. This drop-in, no-reservation-required event will be held in the Teen Room at the Arcata Community Center on Saturday, April 19, from 11 am to 1 pm. Participating organizations: Friends of the Arcata Marsh, California State Parks, Cal Poly Humboldt Natural History Museum, and Sequoia Park Zoo. Flyer here.
