On-Site Registration: In the Lobby & Main Hall, 8 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Friday; 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday; 7 a.m. to noon Sunday. Registration materials will be available for early pick up Wednesday, April 16 & Thursday, April 17 – times and location TBD.

Provisions: Courtesy of Los Bagels, coffee and bagels by donation will be available “early” on Saturday and Sunday. Familia Cafe will sell breakfast and lunch options on Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Menu: TBD.

Bird Fair: Commercial vendors and informational booths by nonprofit organizations and government agencies.

Godwit Days Silent Auction: Support our nonprofit organization by bidding on donated items, many with a nature or bird theme. The auction starts at 3 p.m. on Friday and ends at 6:30 p.m. on Saturday. You may pick up and pay for items between 6:30 pm – 7 pm on Saturday and on Sunday from 9 am to 2 pm. Please be sure you are available to pick up your items!

Live Bird on Display: Sequoia Park Zoo will bring Chillido, a Western Screech Owl, for attendees to see on Saturday, April 19 from 12:30 pm to 3 pm. Zoo staff will be present to answer questions.

Free Opening Reception & Lecture: Registrants and members of the general public are invited to attend a light “finger food” reception on Friday between 5 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Cash bar (wine & beer) and free nonalcoholic punch. The reception will be followed by a free keynote lecture presented by Michael Kauffmann. (FOAM volunteers will serve wine sponsored by Trinity River Vineyards and beer sponsored by Seaquake Brewing/Humboldt Beer Distributors.)

Happy Hours Social & Live Music: Saturday evening between 4:30 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. registrants and members of the public are welcome to attend a Happy Hours social with a cash bar offering wine (Trinity River Vineyards), beer (Seaquake Brewing), and It’s Alive Kombucha. This is a perfect opportunity to relax after a day of birding, bid on silent auction items, enjoy a beverage, and socialize with fellow bird and nature enthusiasts.

Banquet & Keynote Presentation: Saturday evening from 5 p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Cassaro’s Catering will provide a buffet complete with meat and vegetarian options, beverages, and dessert (for purchase) in the dining room. Tickets are available online and a limited amount at the door. The keynote presentation by Rosemary Mosco will begin at 7 p.m. in the main hall. Tickets are available for purchase at the door and available online for $10 (until April 15), or included with a Full Pass registration.

3rd Annual Family Nature Crafts “Mega-Palooza”: Free craft activities will be offered by nonprofit and government environmental agencies to children of all ages who are accompanied by a responsible adult. This drop-in, no-reservation-required event will be held in the Teen Room at the Arcata Community Center on Saturday, April 19 from 11 am to 1 pm. Participating organizations: Friends of the Arcata Marsh, California State Parks, Cal Poly Humboldt Natural History Museum, and Sequoia Park Zoo. Flyer here.

Student Bird Art Contest: The 22nd annual art contest for Humboldt County students, grades K through 12. 818 pieces of art – the third highest ever – were received. Artwork will be on display in the lobby and hallways of the Community Center. The contest is co-sponsored by the Friends of Arcata Marsh and Redwood Region Audubon Society. The awards ceremony for winning artwork will be held in the Main Hall on Saturday, April 19 at 11 am.

Nature Writing Contest: The 20th annual writing contest for Humboldt and Del Norte County students, grades 4 through 12. 84 essays and poems were received. Winning entries will be posted in the lobby of the Community Center. This contest is sponsored by Redwood Region Audubon Society. The awards ceremony for winning entries will be held in the Main Hall on Saturday, April 19 at 11 am.

Godwit Merchandise: T-shirts featuring artwork by Patricia Sennott will be for sale, along with hats and vests.
