SU65 BIG SIT – ♿wheelchair accessible – NEW | 2024 | FREE

Never heard of a Big Sit before? It’s basically standing (or sitting) in one location trying to see how many species you can see from that one location in a predetermined time. This will be the first Big Sit event for Godwit Days! The only other Big Sit from this general location years ago topped 100+ species during an all day sit. Just show up at the Arcata Marsh Interpretive Center between 8 a.m. and 5 p.m. and help contribute and learn about the Big Sit for however long you like (you don’t need to stay the entire time). Takes place on the AMIC deck, a restroom is located indoors, and it is accessible to birders with mobility challenges.
